Tratamiento de la cefalea tensional con acupuntura, Su Jok y terapia de semillas

Abstract

Se realizo un estudio cuasiexperimental en 50 pacientes remitidos de la Consulta de Neurología a la Consulta de Medicina Natural y Bioenergética del Hospital Vladimir Ilich Lenin de Holguín, diagnosticados clínicamente con cefalea tensional en el periodo comprendido entre diciembre de 2010 y abril de 2011, con el objetivo de evaluar la efectividad del tratamiento con acupuntura, Su Jok terapia de semillas. Se estudió el comportamiento clínico de la cefalea tensional según frecuencia e intensidad de las crisis de cefalea antes y después del tratamiento, el tiempo de evolución de la enfermedad según el número de sesiones, edad, sexo y enfermedades asociadas. Predominó el sexo femenino y la edad más frecuente fue la comprendida entre los 35 y los 50 años. Se produjo una disminución de la intensidad de la cefalea  y el número de días con dolor en más del 80% de los pacientes. Los mejores resultados se obtuvieron en pacientes diagnosticados con cefalea tensional episódica.

ABSTRACT

A quasi-experimental study in 50 patients referred to the Neurological Clinic of Natural Medicine Consultation and Bioenergetics of Vladimir Ilich Lenin Hospital in Holguin was performed. The patients were clinically diagnosed with tension headache in the period between December 2010 and April 2011. The aim of this syudy was to assess the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment, Su Jok  and seed therapy. The clinical behavior of tension headache, its frequency and severity of the attacks before and after the treatment, was given, the evolution  of the disease according to the number of sessions, age, sex and associated diseases. Female sex predominated and the age group between 35 and 50 was the most common one. There was a decrease in headache intensity and number of days with pain by more than 80% of patients. The best results were obtained in patients diagnosed with episodic tension-type headache.
