Fetal Biometry and its association with Term Birth Weight
Keywords:
peso al nacer, biometría fetal, neonatologíaAbstract
The study of fetal biometry in relation to full-term birth weight is of utmost importance in obstetrics and neonatology, as it provides crucial information on intrauterine development and fetal health. The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between fetal biometry measurements, such as biparietal diameter, abdominal circumference, and femur length, and full-term birth weight. The aim is to identify possible correlations between these biometrics and newborn weight, as well as to determine their clinical relevance in predicting complications during delivery and the neonatal period. A thorough review of the scientific literature related to fetal biometry and full-term birth weight revealed preeclampsia as an obstetric complication in many pregnant women, with serious consequences for both mother and fetus. The clinical trials analyzed show a positive impact on both maternal and fetal health and their effectiveness during pregnancy. However, the study highlights the need for further research to better understand the relationship between fetal biometry and birth weight, which has important implications for improving maternal and child health strategies. The findings suggest fetal biometry and preventive interventions are key to optimizing health outcomes during pregnancy.
