Bioprinting. Innovation in dental tissue engineering

Bioprinting has emerged as an innovative technology in dentistry, enabling the creation of organic prostheses and functional dental tissues through three-dimensional (3D) printing and advanced biomaterials. This technique has demonstrated its ability to replicate complex structures such as dentin, enamel, and pulp with high precision. In addition to improving the biological integration and functionality of prostheses, bioprinting offers new opportunities for personalized dental rehabilitation, transforming the choice of biomaterials in dental treatments. The objective of this study is to compile existing information on bioprinting and organic prosthetics, focusing on the development of dental tissues using this technique. The present research uses a qualitative, descriptive methodology that allows for the analysis of data obtained from information search engines. The PRISMA method was used, which accesses information processing, reduces bias and performs high-quality reviews. Despite these obstacles and challenges, such as optimizing materials, reducing production times and improving process adaptability, the results suggest that bioprinting has enormous potential to transform regenerative dentistry, offering more effective and biologically integrated solutions for the treatment of tooth loss. In conclusion, bioprinting represents a promising advancement in the field of dentistry, with a significant impact on the creation of personalized dental prostheses and dental tissue regeneration.
