Analysis of the Constitutional Right to Comprehensive Health and Nutrition for Childhood in Ecuador

The issue of violation of the right to comprehensive health and nutrition should not only be framed within the context of public health, but also analyzed from the perspective of comprehensive protection of constitutional rights. The main objective of this research was to examine the violation of the constitutional right to comprehensive health and nutrition in childhood within the Ecuadorian context. To this end, a quantitative methodological approach was adopted, based on the collection and analysis of descriptive data, which allowed for the identification of patterns and trends surrounding this issue. Through a rigorous process of document and bibliographic review, legal doctrines, current regulatory frameworks, and peer-reviewed scientific studies were analyzed, which facilitated the drawing of informed conclusions and the generation of new knowledge on the subject. In addition, a data collection tool in the form of a survey was administered to representatives of various foundations dedicated to protecting vulnerable children. This provided a broader view of the current conditions of access to health and nutrition in childhood. The results revealed a number of shortcomings in the implementation of public policies and regulatory compliance in the city of Ibarra, Imbabura province, underscoring the need to strengthen government strategies to ensure the full exercise of these fundamental rights.
