FINERENONE "Caring for the heart through the kidney"
Abstract
Introduction: Chronic kidney disease is closely associated with cardiovascular risk factors.
Objective: To analyze different bibliographic sources of updated information with scientific support about heart care through the kidney.
Method: Bibliographic review of qualitative descriptive scope; a search was carried out in the following databases American College of Cardiology, SciELO, Pubmed, ELSEVIER, Springer, FIGARO-DKD and FIDELITY.
Results: In all scientific research, the primary search for information is “gray search”, as it sought to find all the available material quickly and classify it according to the research.
Discussion: The FIGARO-DKD study mentions that the use of finerenone reduces the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease and type 2 diabetes.
Conclusions: Studies on interventions to prevent chronic kidney disease highlights complexity, from blood pressure monitoring to patient education.
