Rehabilitación implantológica con sobredentaduras fija extraíble. Presentación de un caso
Abstract
La prótesis total, implantomucosoportada, es una alternativa para la restauración funcional y estética del paciente desdentado total. Se presentó una paciente de 31 años de edad, edenteda, total superior con antecedente de intolerancia a la placa palatina de las prótesis totales convencionales. Se mostró la secuencia de tratamiento clínico y de laboratorio. Con esta rehabilitación compleja se lograron resultados satisfactorios, lo cual demuestra la importancia de la implantología para estos tipos de pacientes. Se consiguió mejorar su calidad de vida, pues fue rehabilitada estética y funcionalmente.

ABSTRACT
The total prosthesis is an alternative for functional and aesthetic restoration of the edentulous patient. A case of a 31 year old edentulous female with a history of upper palatal intolerance to conventional dentures was presented. The sequence of clinical and laboratory was showed. With this complex rehabilitation satisfactory results were achieved, demonstrating the importance of implant for these types of patients. They managed to improve their quality of life, as it was restored aesthetically and functionally.
