Presentación de un paciente con diagnóstico de síndrome de Stevens-Johnson

Abstract

Se presenta un paciente con diagnóstico, por el cuadro clínico, de síndrome de Stevens Johnson, que fue remitido al Servicio de Urgencias del Hospital Nacional de Timor Leste, ingresó en el Servicio de Medicina, después de ser valorada por el Especialista en Dermatología. Paciente femenina de 20 años de edad que presentó lesiones en la piel generalizadas en todo el cuerpo, gran infección de mucosa y afección general. Se le inició tratamiento con esteroides y antibiótico. Esta enfermedad constituye una urgencia dermatológica poco frecuente. La evolución y recuperación total de paciente motivó la realización de este trabajo.

ABSTRACT

A 20- year-old female patient with Stevens Johnson Syndrome was presented in this work. The patient was attended at Timor Leste National Hospital Emergency Service at Medicine Service after being assessed by a dermatologist. The patient had some skin lesions over the whole body; she also had a big mucosal infection and general affection. The case was diagnosed considering the clinical exam, this disease is a very rare. Steroids and antibiotics were given. The authors were motivated to carry out this research due to the patient´s progress and recovery.
