Abstract

The incorporation of digital technology in endodontics has revolutionized clinical processes, improving treatment times, surgical accuracy and decreasing the frequency of incidents during surgery. In the treatment of obliterated canals, endodontics guided by static navigation is an important progress, offering a more predictable option compared to traditional endodontics.

The purpose of this research is to contrast the effectiveness and accuracy of traditional endodontics and static navigation guided endodontics in the management of obliterated canals, studying their influence on the degree of treatment success, error reduction and preservation of dental structures.

Endodontic guides, fundamental in static navigation, are elaborated through state-of-the-art digital systems such as CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography), intraoral scanning and 3D printing, facilitating the accurate programming of endodontic access in calcified canals. Hard tissue deposition causes root canal obliteration, usually linked to dental trauma, deep caries, orthodontic movements, aging or restorative procedures close to the pulp chamber.

It is essential to obtain an accurate diagnosis through clinical tests and radiographic analysis in order to choose the most appropriate therapeutic method. The contrast between traditional endodontics and guided endodontics with static navigation has shown that the latter enables less invasive procedures, with reduced clinical care time, less danger of perforations and a higher success rate in the treatment of obliterated canals.

This analysis helps to assess the effect of guided endodontics in clinical practice, establishing its feasibility as a standard in complicated situations and highlighting its ability to improve endodontic results.
