Influencia de factores dietéticos y de hábitos en la durabilidad de las prótesis dentales fijas
Keywords:
Fixed dental prostheses, diet, habits, longevity, oral health.Abstract
The impact of diet and habits on the longevity of fixed dental prostheses is a crucial aspect for long-term oral health. Factors such as excessive consumption of acidic foods, sugars, and carbonated beverages can accelerate the wear of prosthetic materials, promoting disintegration and loss of functionality. Additionally, habits such as bruxism and inadequate oral hygiene significantly contribute to the reduced durability of prostheses. This analysis highlights the importance of a balanced diet and proper oral care habits to maximize the lifespan of fixed dental prostheses. Prevention and early management of these factors can reduce the need for frequent repairs or replacements.
