Comparación entre técnicas quirúrgicas abiertas y mínimamente invasivas en el manejo del trauma abdominal

Abdominal trauma represents a complex medical emergency requiring timely and effective surgical intervention. This study compares two surgical techniques used in abdominal trauma management: laparotomy and therapeutic laparoscopy. The analysis includes indications, benefits, risks, and clinical outcomes, based on a thorough review of current scientific literature. Laparotomy, the traditional approach, provides extensive access but is associated with higher postoperative morbidity. Conversely, laparoscopy, a minimally invasive option, offers advantages such as faster recovery and fewer complications, although its use depends on the patient’s hemodynamic stability and the surgical team’s expertise. The findings support that the choice of approach should be individualized, considering patient condition and the availability of specialized resources.
