ABSTRACT
A cross-sectional study at Lucía Íñiguez Landín Hospital, of Holguín, was carried out to know the clinical and epidemiological behavior of the patients that were admitted with Leptospirosis. The sample comprised 83 patients; the information was taken from their clinical records and epidemiological interviews. A high percentage of them were male, under 40 years of age, of rural origin. Fever, headache, myalgia, conjuctival injection, jaundice and hepatomegaly were the most frequent symptoms and physical examination findings. Renal and hepatic failures were the most frequent complications.
